Your coverages
Is it usually covered?
Physiotherapy is usually an outpatient cost. Company medical benefits sometimes include it, often with a referral and an annual limit.
If the physiotherapy follows a hospital stay or surgery, your Integrated Shield plan may cover it as post-hospitalisation treatment, within the time window and limits in your plan.
Physiotherapy on its own, with no hospital stay, is usually not covered by an Integrated Shield plan. We will tell you clearly what applies to you.

Questions
Physiotherapy: common questions
Do I need a doctor's referral for physiotherapy?
Not to see a physiotherapist, but often yes if you want your insurance or company benefits to pay. We check this first.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on the problem and how your body responds. The physiotherapist will give you a plan after the first session. We can help you see how much of it your cover pays for.
