Your coverages
Is it usually covered?
A consultation and scans are often outpatient costs, which company medical benefits may help with. Some plans may cover them as part of a hospital claim if they lead to a procedure.
Procedures such as removing fibroids or cysts, or keyhole surgery for endometriosis, are often claimable under an Integrated Shield plan when they are medically necessary. Always subject to your insurer’s approval.
Pregnancy and delivery are usually excluded from Integrated Shield plans or covered only in limited ways. Please check with us if this applies to you.
