Cost and payment

Does this cost me anything?

No. Our service is free for you. You pay the clinic for your treatment, not us.

What is an indicative cost?

It is a starting estimate based on similar cases, so you have a sense of the numbers before you commit.

It is not a quote. The final bill depends on what the specialist finds and recommends, and on what your insurer approves.

Will I have to pay upfront at the clinic?

It depends. For some treatments the insurer can approve the cost in advance, and the hospital bills them directly. For others, you pay first and claim afterwards.

We tell you which is likely to apply before you go, so there are no surprises at the counter.

Insurance and claims

Will you tell me if it is not claimable?

Yes, as early as we can. That is the part most people find useful. We would rather you know before you spend money than after. Whether a claim is approved is always up to your insurer.

I only have company medical benefits. Can you still help?

Yes. Company benefits often cover outpatient specialist visits, sometimes with a referral and an annual limit. We help you understand what yours includes.

I don't have an Integrated Shield plan or company benefits. Can you help?

Most of the people we help have one or both. If you have neither, tell us anyway and we will be upfront about whether we can be useful.

Does a condition I had before I bought my plan matter?

It can. Insurers may exclude conditions that started before your policy began. Your insurer makes the final decision, but we will tell you early if we think it could affect your claim.

Do I need a GP referral?

Sometimes. Some insurers and many company benefits ask for one before they pay for a specialist. We check what yours requires before you book.

How it works

Can you tell me what is wrong with me?

No. We are not doctors. We help you ask the right specialist the right questions, and break their advice down into simple terms.

Do I have to decide anything on the call?

No. Plenty of people message us just to get an idea of what to expect. There is no pressure, and you decide in your own time.

How soon can I see a specialist?

It depends on the specialist's availability and how urgent your situation is. We look for the earliest suitable option and tell you what is available.

Can I choose my own specialist?

Yes. If you already have a doctor in mind, tell us. We will check how seeing them fits with your policy, so you know what to expect.

Can someone come with me?

If you would like, a dedicated handler stays with you through the rest of your medical journey, including the appointment.

Can I contact you for my parent or child?

Yes. Many people do. You will need their policy or benefit details, and for an adult, their agreement.

Privacy and safety

What happens to the information I share?

We use it only to help you. We share with a clinic only what is needed to arrange your care, and only with your agreement. Our privacy note has the details.

Is this for emergencies?

No. If it is an emergency, call 995 or go to the nearest emergency department.
